Happy February! Every spring these little purple California Blue Bells pop up in our neighborhood. Every year I wait for them to come back so that I can pick one and take it to my studio. They are pretty small but they sure pack a punch when it comes to beauty!

January 2025

Happy January! A whole new year and so that means a different series of images for the calendars!! This year will feature images from my series Mystical Allure! These images are a series of portraits of flowers showing off their beauty! One of the flowers I look forward to photographing every spring is a peony. They have a fluffy feel like a blanket or a cloud and they just make me smile. So here to grace your monitors this month is Peony Cloud!

Happy December! This year has gone by so quickly and I can’t believe that we are at the very end of 2024. Closing out the year with an image of a dried poppy. Happy October! This month features a dried pink tulip. Delicate and fragile petals that almost give this flower the look of a cyclamen. This image, while not really fall colors, gives me the feel of fall with watching leaves being blown around in the autumn breeze. Can you picture that as well? Enjoy your October!!

Happy September! This month features a dried white tulip. It is one of my absolute favorite dried flower to photograph is the tulip. They are stunning when they are fresh and when they dry they become something else. They become this super interesting delicate shape that is just a totally different object than it was to start off with. Enjoy your September!!

August 2024

Happy August!!! As I sat in my room full of dried flowers I thought about what a short time peonies spend with us every year. They only bloom once a year and I can’t wait for late spring/early summer every year to get to see these lovelies again! While I sat with the flowers I could feel this one calling to me. The variation of colors from dark pink, light pink, and all then to white. It spoke to me of how we all hold so many layers within ourselves. You know that feeling when you find that friend to really open up to and show who you are? That’s what Sumptuous Peony was telling me all about!

Happy July!!! Anonymous Memories is that memory that you have while you stare out the window or think introspectively, it is that quiet moment that is all about you. I love how each and every image is a different story for every person. For me, in the middle of a hot July, I see, and remember, the hot, hot feel of the Arizona sun on me. Will this be what I think of when the months are cooler? Probably not, then I will probably think about the day that I picked out this flower to photograph and what I was daydreaming about. I hope you will enjoy your July calendar. I love to hear what you think about as well so let me know!

June 2024

Happy June!!! This month features a dried hydrangea which happened to dry in a heart shape!! One of my favorite things from our yard in Alameda, CA was that we had fantastic hydrangea bushes with multiple colored flowers. I really wish I could grow them in AZ but I also haven’t taken the time or effort to try so until I do that I purchase these beauties at the store. Enjoy this happy hydrangea this month!
